On November 29, the Luiss Viale Romania Campus hosted Luiss Meets Fashion, an event offered every year to Fashion Management students as part of the master's degree program in Luxury, Fashion and Made in Italy. Past events have welcomed leaders of the luxury and fashion market such as Marco Bizzarri former CEO of Bottega Veneta, now Gucci CEO, Stefano Beraldo OVS CEO, Pietro Beccari former CEO of Fendi, now Dior CEO, Carlo Capasa Chairman of the Italian Fashion Chamber and Francesca Bellettini CEO of Yves Saint Laurent.
On Friday 29, during the 2019 edition of Luiss Meets Fashion, the Dean of the Department of Business and Management Alessandro Zattoni and Luiss Professor of Luxury and Fashion Management Carlo Fei welcomed Micaela Le Divelec Lemmi, CEO of Salvatore Ferragamo, who delivered a Lectio Magistralis on Ferragamo's heritage and innovation.
"New era luxury does not call for a reenactment of the brand's past, but for a revival and reinterpretation of its core values to make them relevant to contemporary luxury consumer thought," she said to Luiss students.
At the end of her Lectio Magistralis, Micaela Le Divelec took additional time to answer students' questions following the traditional Q&A session.
