Structured Exchange with Louvain

This one-year program, taught entirely in English, is a structured partnership with the Economics School of Louvain for students enrolled in the second year of the Bachelor’s program degree in Economics and Business.

The program provides solid, general preparation in the most important areas of Economics. It aims at recruiting ambitious, dedicated students and it provides the opportunity to learn and grow in a world-class academic environment, which is ranked among the top 100 universities in the world for Economics.

Highlights

Structured Partnership with Louvain 3

Selected students will spend the third year of the Bachelor’s program at the Economics School of Louvain, of the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium). 

The students selected for this program will be registered at Luiss during their time at Louvain and will continue to pay tuition fees at Luiss. Students will be exempted from paying tuition at Louvain.

Who can apply

Students enrolled in the second year of the Bachelor’s program in Economics and Business in the 2018-2019 academic year, interested in enrolling in the Economics track at Luiss, can apply to this program.

Every year 2 students can take part in the program. 

How to apply

Applications can be submitted until January 31, 2020 via email to international@luiss.it

Candidates are required to submit the following:

  • Application Form
  • ID Card
  • Motivation letter
  • Photo in JPG Format

Requirements

The candidate for this program should ideally have:

  • Weighted average grade: equal to or above 26,50/30
  • Credits: at least 64 by February 19th and at least 112 by the end of the Summer Exam Session 2017-18
  • English language: no certificate required

Selection procedure

The Academic Commission, nominated by the Dean of the Department of Economics and Finance, will select students based on a non-disputable evaluation of the academic profile and the motivation of the student. To evaluate the profile, the Commission can require candidates to attend a selection interview. 

The selection results will be communicated by e-mail to the applicants.

Additional rules

  • Students participating in this program will not be able to graduate at Luiss in July 2019 but will be able to do so in October/November 2019, provided they pass all required exams.
  • The participation in this program will provide additional points to the Final Grade of the Bachelor’s Degree, according to Luiss rules.
  • Students will be able to participate only if they are in regular time frame and have no pending administrative issues with Luiss.
  • Students are also allowed to apply for the International Student Exchange program. If they confirm their participation to the structured partnership, they will be automatically excluded from the selection for the Exchange program and will be removed from the candidates list.
  • Exams passed at Louvain will be transferred to the Luiss career according to the study plan. It is not possible to request an official renounce of the grades registration.
