Highlights
The Double Degree in International Relations with Sciences Po Bordeaux offers students a unique chance to develop analytical and methodical skills in the field of international politics with focus on themes such as EU security, migration, gender studies, international law and international economy.
Located in the French city of Bordeaux, a UNESCO Word Heritage city, Science Po Bordeaux is an international university and one of the main research centers for political science in France.
The program is structured as follows:
- the first year is carried out at Luiss (Rome);
- the second year is carried out in Bordeaux.
Students selected for the Double Degree will be registered at Luiss during their time at Science Po Bordeaux and will continue to pay tuition fees at Luiss. Students will be exempted from paying tuition fees at Science Po Bordeaux.
If compliant with both universities’ rules and conditions, as for credits envisaged, attendance, deadlines, academic integrity, etc., participating students will receive two degrees, which will be issued according to each university’s procedures.

Who can apply
Students enrolled in the first year of the Luiss Master's Degree in International Relations, majors in Global Studies and in European Studies, can apply for this program.

How to apply
Details regarding the application procedure, the selection process, deadlines, and further information, will be contained in the call for applications. In case of doubts about the documents to upload or to get further information about the requested documents, students are invited to contact the International Development Office before the application deadline.
Students who are selected for a Double Degree program have to respect the relevant study plan. They need to accept all the changes listed in the study plan, especially with reference to the languages and other activities.
Requirements
Candidates for this program should have the following requirements:
- Weighted average grade equal to or above 27/30
- having passed at least 2 exams, among core courses, within the official extraordinary Winter exam session of the 2019/2020 academic year
As for English, students must possess at least a B2 level (European Framework of Reference), to be proved by one of the following certifications:
- FCE certificate, min. grade C;
- IELTS equal or above 6.5;
- TOEFL iBT equal or above 75;
- Accademia linguistica Trinity School di Roma;
- certificate released by the Luiss Language Center;
- Bachelor's degree entirely taught in English;
- International Secondary School Diploma (IB).
Additional rules
- The participation in this program will provide additional points to the final grade of the master’s program, according to Luiss rules.
- Students will be able to participate only if they are in regular time frame and have no pending administrative issues with Luiss.
- Exams passed at Sciences Po Bordeaux will be transferred to the Luiss career according to the study plan. All exam scores must be accepted on the first attempt, it is not possible to re-take exams.
