Highlights
The Double Degree in Corporate Finance with Maastricht University offers students a unique opportunity as it covers essential finance topics such as corporate and entrepreneurial finance, governance and risk management, by analyzing the interaction between companies and financial markets and introducing financial research methods.
Located in the Netherlands, Maastricht University is the most international university in the country, with students and staff coming from more than 100 countries. The program is based on a multidisciplinary approach, in close collaboration with national and international institutions, companies and industry.
The program is structured as follows:
- The first year is carried out at Luiss University (Rome);
- The second year is carried out at Maastricht University (Maastricht, the Netherlands).
Students selected for the Double Degree will be registered at Luiss during their time at Maastricht University and will continue to pay tuition fees at Luiss. Students are exempt from paying tuition fees at Maastricht University.
If compliant with both universities’ rules and conditions, as for credits envisaged, attendance, deadlines, academic integrity etc., participating students will receive two degrees, which will be released according to each university’s procedures.

Students enrolled in the first year of the master’s program in Corporate Finance can apply for this program.

Every year a total of 5 students can take part in the program.
How to apply
Details regarding the application procedure, the selection process, deadlines, and further information, will be contained in the call for applications. In case of doubts about the documents to upload or to get further information about the requested documents, students are invited to contact the International Development Office before the application deadline.
Students who are selected for a Double Degree program have to respect the relevant study plan. They need to accept all the changes listed in the study plan, especially with reference to the languages and other activities.
Requirements
Candidates for this program should have the following requirements:
- Weighted average grade equal to or above 26/30
- Having passed at least 2 exams among core courses
As for English, students must possess at least a C1 level (European Framework of Reference), to be proved by one of the following certifications:
- TOEFL min. 91/120 iBT
- IELTS min. 7.0
- Cambridge: CPE, CAE, FCE min. grade A
- Certificate issued by the Accademica linguistica Trinity School di Roma
- Certificate issued by the Luiss University Language Center
- International Secondary School Diploma (IB) totally taught in English
- Bachelor’s degree totally taught in English
Additional rules
- The participation in this program will provide additional points to the Final Grade of the Master’s Degree, according to Luiss rules.
- Students will be able to participate only if they have no pending administrative issues with Luiss.
- Exams passed at Maastricht University will be transferred to the Luiss career according to the study plan. It is not possible to request an official renounce of the grades registration.
