The African Development Bank (AfDB) is a Multilateral Development Bank established in 1964 to catalyse sustainable economic development and social progress in its Regional Member Countries, thus contributing to poverty reduction in Africa. The AfDB has 54 African regional member-countries and 26 non-regional member countries. The AfDB attaches importance to its High 5s priorities – Light up and power Africa, Feed Africa, Industrialize Africa, Integrate Africa, and Improve the quality of life for the people of Africa. It has established cooperation ties with an extensive network of International Development Partners, and it enjoys a very good reputation on the capital markets. Through its enhanced decentralized structure, the AfDB currently operates 37 Country Offices across the African continent.
