Australian Embassy Internship Opportunity
Duties and responsibilities:
- The internship will allow University students with an interest in Australia’s international relations to gain an insight into the work of the Embassy, and particularly of our Public Diplomacy, Political and Economic section.
Tasks will involve assisting in the organization of public diplomacy events, undertaking research, note-taking at international meetings, drafting reports on political and economic developments in Italy, and assisting with social media. Interns will also be given an opportunity to observe other areas of operation at the Embassy, including the work of our consular and passport section. Through the involvement in the Embassy’s activities, the intern will experience a range of work in an international environment. The intern will have the opportunity to work in a team and gain a general understanding of the role of diplomacy
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have these requirements:
- Master Degree Student (ongoing) in Political Science, international relations, economics and business; Student (ongoing) in Law 4°/5°year;
- Average exams; 28/30;
- Known languages: We require applicants to have a high level of English and Italian;
- IT skills: Word/Excel, Outlook, databases, social media.
Starting date: January 2018
Duration: 3 months
