The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency working to achieve a world with zero hunger. We are seeking to fill a local consultancy position of Digital Fundraising Assistant based at our Headquarters in Rome, Italy, for an initial period of 6 months.
Background
The Individual Fundraising Team of the Private Sector Partnerships Division is seeking a motivated
individual who is looking for developing a career in individual fundraising. The Individual Fundraising
Team primarily manages two online donation platforms and a global email programme, in addition to
several other digital platforms and tools. The role is to support and strengthen the team's digital
fundraising materials and execute digital processes necessary for the maintenance of the digital
platforms.
Key Duties
- Reporting to the Head of Individual Fundraising and working closely day to day with the Digital
- Development and Partnership Manager, the Digital Fundraising Assistant will be responsible for supporting the team on the following duties:
- Development and optimisation of donation forms, landing pages, email templates, triggered emails etc;
- Carrying out cross-browser and cross-device testing for all online materials, ensuring the front-end works well across all applicable operating systems;
- Developing segmentation for emails to donors and subscribers;
- Scheduling and ensuring accurate delivery of email tests and winning emails;
- Updating content on web-pages managed by the Individual Fundraising Team;
- Monitoring and ongoing audit of public facing digital materials, functionality, and tracking mechanisms;
- Improving user journey on the donation forms and liaise with the Web Team of the Communications Division;
- Managing the Google Grant – e.g. add and optimise campaigns;
- Managing and monitor performance via Google Analytics;
- Reporting for the team and daily fraud checking;
- Other tasks and assistance - when required by the team;
Qualifications & Experience Required
Education:
- University degree or equivalent working experience. (Preferable in Computer Science, User Experience Design, Digital Marketing, Digital Fundraising, Marketing or related fields);
Experience:
- Ideally, at least 1 year of postgraduate professional experience in digital fundraising;
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with:
- HTML5, CSS;
Desirable:
- Experience in google grant management and optimisation
- Knowledge of best practices in Front-end development, tools and techniques;
- Experience in testing User Interfaces with users;
- Strong analytical, debugging, and testing skills;
- Working knowledge of Photoshop;
