Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini (FGB) offers work experience for university graduates of economics and social sciences. The successful applicant will support the Brussels office and work in close cooperation with senior researchers and consultants, thus developing his/her skills and knowledge in FGB's sectors of activity and acquiring valuable experience in applied research.
The trainee will perform the following tasks:
- undertake economic/employment/social policy research
- collect background documents
- support the preparation of technical proposals
- assist the Management Team with daily activities
- draft country profiles and practices description forms
- edit and proofread experts' inputs
Requirements
- university degree (BA, MA, MSc or equivalent) in economics, social sciences or another relevant discipline
- knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods
- knowledge of EU institutions and economic/employment/social policies
- native proficiency in English, working knowledge of French or German is an asset
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- good time management and ability to prioritize
- strong ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
- well organised, able to work independently as part of a small team
