Double Degree in Governance and Global Affairs with MGIMO

The Double Degree Luiss - MGIMO is a challenging two-year program taught entirely in English, aimed at students currently enrolled in the final year of the bachelor’s program or graduates, who intend to enroll in the Luiss Master’s degree in International Relations, all majors.

Students who complete the program will earn a Master’s degree in International Relations issued by Luiss University a Master of Arts in International Relations (Program in Governance and Global Affairs) issued by MGIMO.

Highlights

The program is structured as follows:

  • the first year is carried out at MGIMO (Moscow);
  • the second year is carried out at Luiss (Rome).

MGIMO University

The students selected for the Double Degree will be registered at Luiss during their time at MGIMO and will continue to pay tuition fees at Luiss. Students will be exempted from paying the tuition at MGIMO.

In order to earn a Double Degree, students will have to be in compliance with both their home and host universities' rules and conditions with regard to credits, attendance, deadlines etc.

Admission


Details regarding the application procedure, the selection process, deadlines, and further information, will be contained in the call for applications. In case of doubts about the documents to upload or to get further information about the requested documents, students are invited to contact the International Development Office before the application deadline.

Students who are selected for a Double Degree program have to respect the relevant study plan. They need to accept all the changes listed in the study plan, especially with reference to the languages and other activities.

Requirements

Candidates for this program should have the following requirements:

  • Weighted average grade equal to or above 27/30;
  • Credits: at least 128 ECTS by the application deadline;
  • Final grade for the Bachelor’s Degree equal to or above 100/110.

As for English, students must possess at least a B2 level (European Framework of Reference), to be proved by one of the following certifications:

  • FCE min. grade B;
  • IELTS equal or above 6.5;
  • TOEFL iBT equal or above 75;
  • Accademia linguistica Trinity School di Roma;
  • certificate released by the Luiss Language Center;
  • Bachelor's Degree entirely taught in English;
  • International Secondary School Diploma (IB).
